Hi there.
You are so welcome.
It's all real here.

No artifice, just bare bones health stories. And I'm listening.
If I'm not here, I'm probably trying to get back outside, seeing friends, my family or the most likely scenario, my dog.
My Story
Health is my vibe. Maybe it's because I'm nosy and want to know how people work. Maybe I just want to help. Whatever the reason, I'm here for you. So let's talk.

I have been working in the health industry for nearly 20 years, being a university-qualified, practising Nutritionist and Herbalist (Naturopath) for 15 years. My training is centred around Clinical Nutrition, Herbal Medicine, and Clinical Supervision for Health Science students at university. I am an active member of my associations and sit on the QLD group committee for the Nutrition Society of Australia, helping to bring Nutrition knowledge from experts into our nutrition academic community through events, research, and academic review.

I hold a Masters of Human Nutrition (Deakin), Bachelor of Health Science [Naturopathy] (UNE), Graduate Certificate Human Nutrition (Charles Sturt), Graduate Certificate in Higher Education, Bachelor of Arts and several Advanced Diplomas and Diplomas in other areas (Naturopathy, Training and Education, Iridology, and Homeopathy). A passionate learner, I hope to commence a PhD during my career, within the area of nutrition for sleep and mental health.

Since I began in health, almost 20 years ago, almost every person I have spoken to has experienced a mental health challenge - the predominant one being, of course, stress. Over my career, I have worked with women's hormones, gut health, sports nutrition, skin health, child development... but I keep coming back to mental health. Our brains are the centres of our existence, and control so much of what we choose to do with our bodies. If we do not feel resilient, calm, focussed or energised, how can we possibly make healthy food and lifestyle choices?

So now, my areas of interest and specialty are sleep and mental health. I also have a keen interest in children's health, largely thanks to being a mother and seeing first-hand the learning and immune challenges facing our kids these days.
I firmly believe that food, education and personal agency are the critical elements to a long and healthy life.

Every day, as an educator, clinician and parent, I witness first-hand the change that an holistic approach can make in someone's life.

In addition to university accreditation, I hold the following certifications:

Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA), #12511

-
